About the company
Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) is Namibia's largest mobile telecommunications operator. Since its founding in 1994, MTC has built an extensive network that covers more than 98% of the population, providing voice, data and digital services to prepaid and postpaid individual and business customers. MTC listed on the NSX on 19 November 2021 through an initial public offering that opened the company to private, retail and institutional investors. The Namibian government, through Namibia Post and Telecom Holdings (NPTH), retains a majority stake of approximately 60%. The company is evolving from a traditional mobile operator into a digital services provider, with a growing focus on enterprise solutions and digital financial services.
