About the company
Namibia Breweries (NBL) is a Windhoek-based beverage manufacturer whose origins date back to 1920. Listed on the NSX since 1996, it is the leader in the Namibian beer market and holds a significant share of the premium beer category in southern Africa. Its flagship Windhoek and Tafel brands are brewed in accordance with the German Reinheitsgebot (purity law). The company's portfolio spans beers and other alcoholic beverages, low and non-alcoholic products, and soft drinks, positioned across a range of price points. Its products are distributed throughout Namibia and exported across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and beyond. Since April 2023, NBL has formed part of HEINEKEN Beverages, with HEINEKEN holding a majority stake through NBL Investment Holdings, while the company remains listed on the NSX with a significant portion of its shares in Namibian hands.
